Keto Apple Crisp Recipes


  • 4  chayote squash
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup Swerve sweetener granular
Spice Mixture
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp clove
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp xanthan gum
Pecan Crisp
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 tbsp Swerve sweetener granular
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

  1. Cut the chayote in half, length wise and remove the seed with a spoon. Peel the chayote and boil for 20 minutes. Drain and allow to cool.
  2. Cut up chayote into pie sized slices. Mix with the seasoning mixture and half a cup of Swerve. Then mix in the lemon juice. Spread in pie pan.
  3. For the topping, mix the pecans and 3 tbsp Swerve. Then mix in a beaten egg and 1/4 cup melted butter. Spread the pecan mixture over the top of the chayote filling.
  4. Bake at 350ªF until the topping golden brown and has turned crisp.
